New acoustical stuff from Sam!
I've just about crippled my hands from playing so much, but dang, it's fun!
They're all instrumental (recording vocals in a decent-sounding way requires some major changes to my setup, so I wanted to get several songs done before changing the rigging). If parts of these seem a bit repetitive...sorry — the vocal line will compensate entirely for that, eventually. These are much more representative of the kind of music I usually write. Lemme know what you think (and I ain't afraid of constructive criticism, either)!
I wrote all the parts for this one and recorded it in the same night — go me! It's called (temporarily) New Eyes:
The next one was written nearly fifteen years ago(!), and this is the first time I've been able to record it with all the instrumentation. I wrote this about 3 months after purchasing my first guitar. It's called Strong Enough.
This last one is my baby. I wrote this a while ago, when I was in pretty bad shape after losing some long-time friends to booze and bad decisions. It's one of my favorite pieces I've ever written. The title is Fall Behind. (You might have to turn it up a little bit louder for this one — it's quieter than the others, for some reason.)
Thanks for listening, guys — I can't even express how much your feedback totally boosts my confidence and makes me want to get better at...um...music.
