So, I've been so busy lately, I haven't really actually said anything on this here blog. As such, consider this an official update on the Sam-haps:

Let's see here...

Well, I'm typing this post on my new MacBook, which is the most beautiful computer I ever done seen! I love it, and I plan on drawing a bunch more pretty soon.

I also recently bought a gently used (read: pretty much brand new and still sparkly) set of golf clubs. So, while I may not be playing any better, at least I have some dang good-lookin' equipment.

I've been super-busy at work, and it's kept me in a bleary-eyed state of exhaustion for the past few weeks (hence the lack of blog creativity) -- but it seems that I've been turning some important heads. I've gotten a couple of job offers (two from vendors we work with, and another from a competitor), and there are executives prancing past my cube on a daily basis, high-kicking and chanting my name. It's been pretty cool, and I think I may be up for a raise, too -- we'll see!

Over the weekend, I went to watch the FedEx Kinko's Classic golf tournament out in Lakeway (thanks, Mom!). The winner got 1.6 million bucks, so it was a pretty big tournament, and there were a lot of big-name players there. Basically, I got to stare with intense jealousy at a bunch of old guys that are WAY better at golf than I'll ever be. Fun!

I think that's about it for the time being...

Go see Iron Man. It rocks. No, really.

  1. coming soon to a office cube near you:

    The Executive Sam-Can!

Publishing big-wigs in frilly skirts and undies will parade their wares before you while chanting "Who can? Sam can!", until you agree to go do THEIR powerpoint first.

Poor thing. It's hard out there for a royal bad-ass.

  2. Since you are such a workity-work badass maybe they will start paying you in golf clubs instead of actual money. Or maybe not.

  3. It'd be more effective if they dressed as stormtroopers.

Heck...they wouldn't even have to dance -- they could just hand me Diet Cokes as they tromped past, singing in unison: DUM-DUM-DUMMM DUM-DA-DUMMM, DUM-DA-DUMMMMMMMMM...
